These 3.5 inch heel beauties are not the most practical shoe for the office, but I love them and couldn't resist dressing up a little today so I could take them out for a spin. I fell in love with the black and white ribbon detailing, complete with bow the first time I saw them at DSW. Thankfully they had my size in stock and the rest is history. A slightly rounded toe makes them somewhat more comfortable, though there is still a pinch at the baby toe. I wear them regardless, because they are lovely, I just don't wear them all the time. They are a look pretty sitting at your desk kind of shoe, unfortunately I had to take them up to the second floor of the library via stairs twice already today. My days are just unpredictable that way.
Also, I am generally a strider. I have places to go and things to do and I'm not one to walk at a snail's pace. The higher the heel, the more you are forced to slow down, taking mincing steps, and smell the roses, which can be a good thing. Life moves far too quickly sometimes, heels remind me to take it slow and breathe. Plus, I look and feel pretty wearing them. :)

After a week of wearing heels, these comfy flats are like walking around on clouds. Kenneth Cole Reaction flats that I'm often told look like ballet slippers, were another DSW purchase this season. Great for the office, they help dress up a pair of jeans when you don't want to be walking around in heels all day. I love the braided and silver ring detailing across the toe, a nice deviation from the typical buckle.
It's true I don't often purchase flats, I much prefer how my feet look in heels, not to mention how feminine I feel wearing them, but the instant I saw these gems on the shelf, I just had to get them. Wear them with or without socks, to the office, to a play, or just out shopping on the weekend, these versatile shoes will see you through the fall and winter months sporting some serious foot style. What more can you ask for in footwear?

Just like Kate Middleton, I too have go-to shoes, only they're Bandolino's and not LK Bennett Sledge pumps. These lovely, and super comfortable mid-heel brown snake print pumps were purchased a few years ago at DSW. They've been my constant companions ever since, going perfectly with jeans. A quick way to dress up jeans and a shirt for a day at the office, they are low-heeled enough to get me easily through an eight hour day, with plenty of walking ability to spare (nothing's worse than having to hobble from the car to the front door after a long day in heels!).
Indeed, I wear them so much, I've tossed the box, and given them a special spot in my clothes closet (as opposed to hiding away in my shoe closet in the next bedroom). Nothing gives me more of a feminine lift than slipping into these pumps with jeans of every wash and style, regardless whether I'm sporting a dressy top or not, jewelry or not, or make-up, or not. The shoes make the outfit, I always say, and every woman needs a standard, fail-safe pump to fall back on. I just prefer mine in brown snake print to the more staid (and boring) black.

These gorgeous babies I picked up at the Nine West store in Great Lakes Crossing near Detroit MI. They are size 9.5 and fit like a dream. The mid-height heel makes this a respectable all-day work shoe. The soles are super slippery though, so you will need to apply a pair of shoe grips (which can be purchased at DSW) before wearing them.
The day I bought these lovely shoes, Nine West was having a bogo sale, so I also picked up a lovely pair of champagne heels with black lace overlay. I hope to have occasion to wear them soon.
Upon seeing these lovely houndstooth with red accent shoes in the display window, I promptly had to enter the store and try them on. They are also available in round-toe pumps, but I prefer a more pointed toe generally, even if some shoes have a tendency to pinch. A great shoe is worth the minor discomfort, though!
